A day in Lancaster

I got a new camera!! I recently purchased a Canon 60D camera! I couldn't wait to go out and take pictures, so my sister and I went into Lancaster city and walked around. It was a beautiful day to explore Lancaster and take pictures....

Back road treasures

The other day I decided to go for a drive and look at the scenery that's near my house. There are many many  back roads that I have never been down, so I got in my car with my camera ready to shoot! I can't wait for autumn, and all the beautiful leaves and colors!! I saw a few horses enjoying the beautiful weather in the most peaceful field. I stopped and snapped a few pictures. They were so pretty, and walked right up to me!! As I left the horses and continued on my drive, I came across this old stone building of some kind. I walked around the side of it and there was an opening, and the inside looked like it could have been a fire pit. Right across the street was an old stone house with a great little stone wall out front. I wish I could have seen the house when someone was living in it....

Awesome Stone House

The past few days, my  mom and I have gone for a nice long walk in a "new" park that recently opened in Chester County called Wolf's Hollow Park. Its a BEAUTIFUL park and is conveniently close to my house! We took Yogi with us, and he loved it just as much as we did. The first day we walked a trail that is a little over a mile long. It took us through the woods, over creeks that were over flooded all thanks to hurricane Irene, and up and down huge hills. It was tough, but in the end, it was all worth it! The next day we went back and walked the whole perimeter of the park! It was a little over a 4 mile hike!! Yogi went with us again, so he also got some great exercise! The paths are mostly through the woods, next to creeks, over creeks, and next to some open fields where you can see for miles. At one point, you can see some old ruins of an old stone wall. As we continued to walk, we got to a part of the path that was paved. It was beautiful! There were trees that were full of pretty green leaves planted along the path, and open fields on either side. We came across this awesome old stone house and decided to break for some pictures...

Yogi taking a break.

One of the fields the trails goes by. I can't wait to see this in the fall!!

Beautiful.

This is the awesome stone house we saw!!

Patio area

The shutters were old school.

I love how the sky had a pinkish tint to it...makes it look kinda creepy!

Part of the patio.

I wonder what's inside that little window up there...
